Midnight Oil (moagency.com), strategically located in "the heart of Hollywood" in Burbank, CA, is an extraordinary creative, and specialty print production partner to the majority of theatrical and streaming studios, with relationships often measured in terms of decades, not years. We uniquely and conveniently combine our Studio and Print Production capabilities all under one roof in our 120,000 square feet facility, with an Amtrak stop and the Burbank Airport directly across the street. Position Summary: Supporting role on the Logistics team to manage the day-to-day operations of courier, common carrier & internal transportation.

This is an onsite role out of our Burbank, CA location.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily courier requests from the account team & production.
    • Schedule pick-ups & deliveries, monitor shipments, enter POD’s, costing & close shipments in Monarch.
    • Find the most cost effective & efficient way to transport.
    • Review and approve monthly billing statements for A/P
  • Manage daily common carrier requests from the account team & production.
    • Create BOL’s per carrier needs, enter tracking numbers, monitor shipments, enter POD’s, costing & close shipments in Monarch.
    • Monitor and approve monthly billing statements for A/P
  • Adjust shippers in Monarch as requested by the account teams.
  • Monitor “Workbench” dashboard.
  • Report and files any freight claims as needed.
  • Receive and handle internal proof / small package deliveries.
  • Track packages & communicate status as needed due to delays.
  • Create labels for large dropship orders (common carrier)
  • Order supplies as needed (Fed-X, UPS)
  • Responsible for incoming traffic through receiving door – small package deliveries
  • Provide shipping quotes as needed.
  • Evaluate transportation vendor pool bi-yearly for service level and review findings with Logistics’ Supervisor
  • Engage new vendors to keep pricing competitive.
  • Oversee MO fleet reservations, daily truck logs, gasoline cards, & ensure safety protocol is being followed.
  • Responsible for delivery door entry & back-up of front door via remote system
  • Provide back-up for shipping & receiving as needed.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • High school diploma
  • 3 years in manufacturing or shipping environment a plus
  • Ability to become forklift certified

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel, Word & Outlook

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs.

 

The national pay range for this role is $22 - 23/hourly. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission, or incentive program.
