The selected candidate will be responsible for designing and supporting temperature control systems that meet project plans, specifications, and customer requirements for commercial and industrial facilities. Responsibilities:
- Design building automation and temperature control systems in accordance with project specifications, customer requirements, and industry standards.
- Create control schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and submittal packages using AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
- Develop and document sequences of operations to ensure proper system functionality and compliance with specifications.
- Review plans and specifications to identify exceptions, conflicts, and value-engineering opportunities.
- Coordinate with contractors, consulting engineers, vendors, and internal teams to obtain required project information and resolve technical issues.
- Select, size, and order control devices and associated system components.
- Support project teams by providing technical assistance for controls installations, programming, graphics, and system startup activities.
- Develop and maintain accurate project documentation and archive databases, including final as-built drawings and project closeout information.
- Assist with material receiving, inventory handling, and coordination of project equipment deliveries.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong customer service mindset with the ability to build positive working relationships.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, building automation systems (BAS), and temperature controls.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Ability to analyze technical documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Ability to travel locally to customers and project sites as needed.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university preferred.
- 3–5 years of related engineering, controls, or HVAC application experience.
- Experience with building automation systems, controls integration, or commercial HVAC systems preferred.
