Position Overview
The Humanity Share is seeking a mission-driven, strategic, and creative Marketing & Visual Communications Strategist to help advance our brand, grow our audience, and communicate impact with clarity and integrity.
This part-time role reports directly to the CEO and plays a key role in creating high-quality content and visual materials that elevate THS’s brand and support fundraising and donor engagement. The person in this role will serve as THS’s primary content creator and graphic designer, translating complex, relational work into compelling stories and experiences for donors, partners, and supporters.
In addition to hands-on content creation, this role supports marketing and communications strategy by helping turn big-picture goals into clear, well-designed campaigns and materials, while also supporting select cross-functional and reporting needs as the organization grows.

Key Responsibilities:
Visual Storytelling, Design & Content Creation (Primary Focus)
- Design and produce digital and print marketing materials, including social media graphics and videos, email campaigns, campaign assets, presentations, reports, event materials, and donor-facing content
- Translate stories, data, and impact into clear, compelling visual narratives
- Create content for digital newsletters, campaigns, special events and digital storytelling initiatives
- Maintain and evolve visual brand standards in alignment with THS’s values and voice
Marketing & Communications Support (Secondary Focus)
- Support the development and execution of THS’s marketing and communications strategy in collaboration with the CEO
- Manage and implement social media content, including content calendars and basic performance tracking
- Assist with website content updates and basic site management
- Help summarize marketing and campaign performance for internal use and donor reporting
- Use existing marketing tools and systems effectively, with openness to improving workflows over time
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Kenya-based team members and photography/videography contractors as needed to support aligned, respectful, and dignified storytelling
- Support the CEO by creating donor engagement materials, reports, and presentations
- Help refine processes and priorities to ensure marketing efforts remain focused and sustainable within a part-time scope

Skills & Experience
- Strong graphic design skills with the ability to independently produce high-quality visual assets
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Figma, or comparable design tools
- Strong written communication skills and storytelling ability
- Solid design sensibility, including layout, typography, and visual hierarchy
- Ability to think strategically about audience, message, and impact
- Basic project management skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
