Position Summary
The Print Production Assistant supports the day-to-day operation of our in-house print shop by assisting with print production, operating production equipment, performing quality checks, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. This role helps ensure projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time while supporting the marketing and operational needs of the company.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist with daily print production and finishing activities.
- Learn to safely operate digital printing and production equipment.
- Prioritize multiple projects while meeting production deadlines.
- Maintain consistent print quality and perform basic quality control.
- Prepare, trim, package, organize, and stage completed print jobs.
- Keep the print room clean, organized, and well stocked.
- Monitor print supply inventory and notify the manager when materials need replenishment.
- Follow established production procedures and safety guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects efficiently.
- Assist with other departmental projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for detailed production work.
- Comfortable learning and operating production equipment.
- Basic computer skills.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 40 pounds.
Preferred
- Experience operating digital printing or production equipment.
- Experience operating a Mimaki UJF-6042 MkII UV flatbed printer.
- Experience operating a Mimaki UCJV300-160 roll-to-roll UV printer/cutter.
- Experience operating an xTool Apparel Printer (DTG/DTF).
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop.
- Familiarity with print production, finishing, trimming, packaging, or fulfillment.
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
