About the Role
The Senior Application Support Specialist serves as a cross-functional systems expert supporting Howard Hughes' enterprise applications, with a primary focus on Construction Management, Capital Accounting, and ERP platforms. This role supports eBuilder, the custom MUD Receivables application, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O), and interim JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, ensuring continuity and stability across systems during the ERP transition.
This position partners closely with Accounting, Development, Construction, and IT stakeholders to support Project and Capital Accounting processes, maintain data integrity across integrated systems, and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
The Senior Application Support Specialist plays a critical role in supporting parallel ERP environments (JD Edwards and D365), driving issue resolution, enabling system adoption, and supporting post-go-live stabilization efforts.
What You Will Do
Application Support & Incident Management
Serve as a primary escalation point for complex issues across eBuilder, MUD Receivables, JD Edwards, and D365 F&O
Perform in-depth troubleshooting across integrated systems, including data flows, configurations, and system dependencies
Support parallel ERP environments, ensuring business continuity during transition from JD Edwards to D365
Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve high-impact issues quickly and effectively
Identify trends in incidents and implement preventative solutions to reduce recurring issues
ERP Transition & Cross-Platform Support
Support D365 F&O implementation, testing, and stabilization, specifically within Project Accounting and Capital Accounting
Provide interim operational support for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne during transition
Assist with data validation, reconciliation, and parallel system operations
Support post-go-live activities, including hypercare, issue triage, and user enablement
Ensure alignment and consistency across construction, receivables, and financial systems
System Configuration, Data & Governance
Perform system configuration and administration within eBuilder and related platforms
Maintain and support data integrity across eBuilder, JD Edwards, D365 F&O, and MUD Receivables
Support data reconciliation activities across project, financial, and receivables systems
Document system configurations, controls, and procedures to support SOX compliance and audit readiness
Assist in improving governance and standardization across enterprise applications
Enhancements, Testing & Continuous Improvement
Participate in system enhancements, upgrades, and integrations across supported platforms
Contribute to test planning, execution, and validation for system changes and releases
Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and standardization
Support evolving business requirements by translating needs into system enhancements
Customer Support, Training & Documentation
Provide high-quality support to business users, translating technical solutions into clear, actionable guidance
Develop and maintain user guides, job aids, and knowledge base documentation
Deliver training to stakeholders across Accounting, Construction, and Development teams
Support adoption of new systems and processes, particularly related to D365 F&O
Team & Cross-Functional Enablement
Act as a cross-functional resource across multiple enterprise applications to reduce single-person dependency risk
Partner with Enterprise Applications leadership to improve support models, SLAs, and service delivery
Mentor junior team members and support knowledge sharing across the team
Help strengthen system resiliency and coverage across integrated platforms
About You
Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, accounting, real estate, or a related field required.
5 years of experience supporting enterprise applications, including ERP and/or construction management systems
Hands-on experience with one or more of:
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O)
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne
eBuilder or similar construction/project management platforms (i.e. Procore)
Financial systems supporting Project or Capital Accounting
Experience supporting ERP implementations or system transitions preferred
Strong understanding of data flows, integrations, and reconciliation across systems
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook) and comfort working with structured data (reports, exports, reconciliations).
Ability to read and interpret logs, error messages, and basic SQLstyle queries or reports is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to interact confidently with users at all levels, from staff accountants to VPs and crossfunctional IT partners.
Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities, with a track record of owning issues from identification through resolution and followup.
Highly organized, able to manage multiple open tickets, deadlines, and project tasks in a fastpaced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
Demonstrated "cando" attitude, resourcefulness, and collaborative mindset; comfortable working both independently and as part of a distributed team.
