Are you a dog lover with a talent for grooming? We’re on the lookout for a motivated Dog Groomer to join our team at our brand-new grooming location! Whether you’re a freshly certified groomer or have a few years of experience, we want someone who’s excited to grow with us and help build a loyal clientele from the ground up. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about animals and skilled in grooming.
Responsibilities:
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, haircuts, nail trims, and ear cleaning
- Ensure the safety and well-being of pets during the grooming process
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area
- Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming requests
- Provide exceptional customer service to pet owners
- Handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments with care and patience
- Monitor pets for any signs of health issues or abnormalities and report them to the appropriate staff member
- Keep accurate records of each pet's grooming history
Qualifications:
- 1 to 3 years of experience as a Dog Groomer or in a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of different breeds and their grooming requirements, including de-matting, nail trims, and de-shedding
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments with confidence and compassion
- Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality grooming results
- Excellent communication skills to interact with pet owners and understand their preferences
- Physical stamina to handle heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing
- Familiarity with basic veterinary care is a plus (e.g., recognizing signs of illness or injury)
- Certification or training in pet grooming is desirable but not required
- A strong work ethic with a gentle, compassionate approach to animals
- Willingness to contribute to a positive, drama-free team culture
