Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of breakfast items with precision and care, ensuring quality and presentation meet high standards
- Maintain cleanliness of all food preparation areas, dining spaces, and kitchen equipment in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures
- Assist with food handling and processing cash transactions using POS systems efficiently and accurately
- Ensure proper food safety management by adhering to hygiene protocols, including manual handling and weight handling in the workplace
- Restock supplies as needed, monitor inventory levels, and assist with food preparation for catering or banquet events when required
- Provide exceptional in-person customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and accommodating dietary needs or special requests
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including coffee machines, toasters, ovens, and other appliances necessary for breakfast service
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality roles is highly preferred, especially within restaurant or catering environments
- Fine dining experience or culinary background is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling regulations is essential
- Experience with POS systems and processing cash transactions demonstrates strong customer service skills
- Barista experience or familiarity with beverage preparation adds value to this role
- Ability to handle manual tasks such as weight handling in the workplace confidently and safely
- Prior banquet or catering experience enhances your ability to adapt quickly in a busy breakfast setting
