Studio Manager Job Description

Reports To: District Manager (Sales and Operations)

Location: On-site

Type of Employment: Full-Time


Position Overview:

The Studio Manager oversees the daily operations of their assigned studio, driving sales, managing staff, and ensuring exceptional member experiences. This role focuses on achieving revenue goals, maintaining operational efficiency, and fostering a positive and inclusive community atmosphere. The Studio Manager also collaborates closely with Regional Managers on community outreach initiatives to enhance local engagement and brand visibility.


Key Responsibilities:

Studio Leadership and Team Management:

  • Supervise and support studio staff, including Team Leads, Shift Leads, Front Desk Sales Associates, and Karma Krew.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and best practices.
  • Recruit, onboard, and train new employees to maintain high operational standards.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations to staff to foster growth and performance.
  • Manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all studio operations.

Sales and Revenue Growth:

  • Drive membership sales through consultations, follow-ups, and strategic sales initiatives.
  • Promote and sell retail products, working toward meeting or exceeding revenue goals.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager and Leadership Institute to execute local promotional campaigns.
  • Monitor and analyze sales and membership metrics, making adjustments to improve outcomes.

Customer Service Excellence:

  • Ensure a welcoming and professional environment for members and visitors.
  • Resolve customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, escalating to the Regional Manager when necessary.
  • Build strong relationships with members to enhance retention and satisfaction.
  • Solicit and implement member feedback to continually improve the studio experience.

Community Outreach and Engagement:

  • Partner with leadership on community outreach initiatives to promote the studio and its offerings.
  • Plan and execute local events, workshops, and collaborations with community organizations.
  • Represent the studio in local events to build brand recognition and attract new members.

Studio Operations and Maintenance:

  • Oversee the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the studio at all times.
  • Monitor inventory levels for studio supplies and retail products, placing orders as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures and ensure the studio is prepared for daily operations.

Reporting and Collaboration:

  • Regularly report on studio performance metrics, including sales, attendance, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Regional Managers to develop and execute action plans for studio growth.
  • Work with the Leadership Institute, Marketing, and Operations teams to align studio initiatives with company goals.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably in a fitness, wellness, or customer service environment.
  • Strong sales and business acumen, with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in studio management software, point-of-sale systems, and scheduling platforms.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
