The Horsham Clinic is a 206-bed, private behavioral healthcare facility located on a beautiful 55-acre suburban campus in Montgomery County. We are minutes from Philadelphia and serve patients and families from Southeastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The Horsham Clinic provides comprehensive behavioral health services to children, adolescents, adults, and their families. In addition to our main campus in Ambler, we have two satellite partial hospitalization programs in Chester County and Delaware County. The Horsham Clinic is seeking a resourceful and team-oriented Weekend Staffing Coordinator.
This role will work every weekend, 12-hours Saturday & Sunday, 7:30am – 8:00pm. **There is also opportunity for additional shifts Monday – Friday, as needed.
The Weekend Staffing Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating nursing staff schedules for all inpatient programs in collaboration with Nurse Management. This role ensures appropriate coverage by managing and assigning pool and float staff to fill vacancies and meet ongoing staffing needs. Successful candidates should be self-starters, have a team mentality, and possess the ability to maintain a high level of problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Candidates must have the ability to create and maintain a solid rapport with all levels of staff from various departments.
Key responsibilities include monitoring and adjusting daily staffing through UKG/ProWorkforce, maintaining accurate scheduling data, and supporting consistent and timely staffing operations. The Weekend Staffing Coordinator performs all duties in accordance with established policies, procedures, and the mission and values of The Horsham Clinic.
Job Responsibilities:
· Monitors daily staffing schedules and assists in coordinating staff scheduling requests (1:1, transports, shift coverage, time-off requests, vacations, call-outs, precepting, etc.)
· Recruit’s RN’s, MHT’s and LPN’s for open shifts
· Escalates additional staff requests as needed to Nurse Managers/Supervisors prior to making changes
· Assist in staffing needs during holidays
· Reviews and upholds scheduling guidelines in conjunction with nursing leadership according to department policies and hospital standards
· Regularly participates in hospital wide-scheduling meetings
Job requirements:
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a staffing / scheduling capacity
- Experience working in a hospital setting required; experience of behavioral health/mental health/human services preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel required
- Proficiency in using emails, phone calls and texts to communicate staffing needs required
- Experience using scheduling systems required, UKG/ProWorkforce preferred
- Ability to work proactively and collaborate within a team
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and accomplish tasks in a timely manner
- Ability to directly communicate with staff in a clear, friendly, and professional manner
- Ability to assess problems that arise, developing solutions/options prior to escalating to manager; escalating issues as needed to Nurse Supervisors and Nurse Managers
