What are the responsibilities and job description for the Van Driver/Mental Health Technician (Chester County and Broomall, PA) position at The Horsham Clinic?
We are looking for a Van Driver/Mental Health Technician to join our Horsham Clinic Team for our Chester and Delaware County locations.
Job Summary:
The Driver/Mental Health Technician (MHT) is responsible for transporting patients to and from the Horsham Clinic's satellite programs (Chester County and Delaware County). Responsibilites include picking up patients enrolled in the day program and return them hom at the end of the day; transports inpatient's home post-discharge; transports patient's to medical appointments, court hearings, etc., as necessary.
When performing MHT responsibilities, the Driver/MHT will support the patient's using verbal de-escalation strategies. In the partial school setting, support with serving lunch; work with purchasing manager to pack and deliver central supply orders to departments as they arrive; other duties as assigned.

Experience:
- Must have a clean driving record and background checks
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Must have 2 years MHT experience
- Must be knowlegable with Verbal De-escalation and Handle With Care techniques
- Experience transporting/driving passengers is required; two or more years previous experience preferred
- Previous experience working with the physically or emotionally disabled preferred
- School bus driving experience, working with school age children is a plus
