Staff Accountant

Our client is looking to add a Staff Accountant to their team in Wareham, MA. This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with seasoned professionals, contribute to important accounting processes, and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation: $55,000-70,000 annually*

*Listed not guaranteed – potential offers vary based on experience level, qualifications, and internal equity and may be outside of this range.

This is an onsite position, with hybrid flexibility available after 6-12 months.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review daily cash activity and financial records.
• Perform account and bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and post month-end and year-end journal entries.
• Support accounts receivable, including billing, collections, and reporting.
• Assist with annual audits and related documentation.
• Maintain accurate and organized accounting records.
• Research and respond to accounting and financial inquiries.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address accounting needs.
• Support cash management and banking activities.
• Assist with special projects and other accounting responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

• 1 to 3 years of professional accounting experience within a corporate setting.
• Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (preferred).
• Demonstrated strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Ability to adapt quickly, work efficiently under tight deadlines, and act as a dependable team player.
