HOUSEKEEPING INSPECTOR SUMMARY:
The primary function of the Housekeeping Inspector is to supervise the housekeeping & laundry operation to ensure product quality standards are met and that optimum service is provided to hotel guests according to hotel and company business objectives. Assures 100% guest satisfaction.

HOUSEKEEPING INSPECTOR ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following:
- Supervises the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping/Laundry operation. Schedules employees & him/herself to ensure proper coverage. Training on systems, security, & service standards.
- Provide mentoring, coaching & regular feedback to help manage conflict & improve employee performance.
- Educate and train all employees in compliance with governmental and safety regulations. Ensure staff is properly trained and has the tools and equipment to carry out job duties
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other department heads
- Maintain proper inventory levels, managing cost per room for supplies and labor (example: bed & bath linen reuse and laundry operation).
- Assist monthly linen inventories.
- Assist with the Lost & Found department.
- Demonstrates & promotes strong commitment to providing the best possible experience for our guests & employees.
- May assist with deep cleaning projects and/or assist housekeeping staff during high-volume periods
- Sells the value of Staybridge Suites Wilmington-Brandywine Valley to all inquiries (via telephone & in person) & strives to convert them into reservations & occupied rooms.
- Maintain & organize the housekeeping area/closets daily.
- Respond to all guest requests & follow through to assure satisfactory outcome & compliance.
- Offers Guest assistance when needed, whenever possible.
- Complies with all safety & security policies in accordance with Staybridge Suites Wilmington-Brandywine Valley Standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Clock in & out according to the SOP.
- Inspect all assigned suites and public areas to ensure furnishings, guest rooms/suites, equipment, linens and public areas are clean and in good repair to meet guest satisfaction. Advise employees of deficiencies and instruct on corrective action. Provide adequate retraining as needed.
- Routinely perform all housekeeping duties necessary, including making beds as well as vacuuming and cleaning guest suites to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Comply with special needs and requests of the guests, VIPs and repeat visitors.
- Comply with all company standards and policies, as established in the employee handbook.
- Other duties as assigned.
HOUSEKEEPING INSPECTOR REQUIREMENTS:
- Weekend and holiday hours may be required
- May work in dusty, damp, and dirty areas
- Require to lift, carry, walk, sit, push and pull and be able to lift 50-75 pounds
- Fast paced environment
Pay: $16.75 - $17.50 per hour
