The Hired Bar is partnering with a leading indoor farming company to hire an Operations Technician to support plant production and research activities in a high-tech hydroponic facility.
This is a hands-on role focused on plant care, data collection, and supporting research trials in a fast-paced environment where you be part of a team advancing the future of indoor agriculture.
Key Responsibilities
- Support plant production including seeding, propagation, transplanting, and harvesting
- Monitor plant health and assist with pest and disease scouting (IPM)
- Collect, enter, and validate plant and environmental data
- Assist with research trials and sample preparation
- Monitor grow systems and identify any abnormalities
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of equipment and work areas
- Safely mix and handle fertilizers and other plant inputs
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
- Assist with troubleshooting equipment issues
Qualifications
- Basic experience in horticulture, agriculture, greenhouse, or plant science
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document data
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills (Excel, Google Sheets preferred)
- Willingness to learn and take on new tasks
Work Environment
- On-site role in Laramie, WY
- Flexible schedule; weekends may be required
- Fast-paced, high-tech lab/farm environment
- Must be comfortable handling chemicals and following safety protocols
