DESCRIPTION
MEP, the Producing and General Management company, is seeking a Production Stage Manager for the upcoming national tour of The Hip Hop Nutcracker.
The ideal candidate will have prior touring experience—particularly with one-night and split-week engagements—and bring strong communication skills and the ability to manage logistics in a fast-paced environment. Experience working on a dance tour is a plus. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and resourceful, with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, as well as a proactive mindset and positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities include:
· Participate in all scheduled production meetings.
· Schedule, coordinate, and lead all rehearsals.
· Prepare and distribute daily rehearsal reports; track attendance, resolve conflicts, and maintain company schedules throughout the tour.
· Lead all technical rehearsals and cue-to-cue sessions; create and maintain the prompt book, including detailed blocking notation.
· Call all performances with precision and consistency.
· Enforce all backstage and onstage safety protocols.
· Document and manage incident reports; coordinate with Company Management regarding injuries and follow-up.
· In collaboration with the Company Manager, act as liaison between the Producer and the company.
· Partner with the Production Manager to execute all load-ins and load-outs.
