Free Sex!! is a bold, contemporary satire that imagines the fictional events following the aftermath of the real-life criminal trials of Atlanta rapper, Young Thug, and his defense attorney, Brian Steel– in what would become the longest trial in Georgia state history. By blending witty humor and elements of Southern Gothic sensibility, this play examines race within the judicial system, artistic capitalization, and the profitability of queerness. Resulting in a daring work of Black American theatre that interrogates the price of creativity in a culture hungry for profit.
Rehearsals:
Mondays and Wednesdays, 6pm - 9pm
Saturdays, 1pm-5pm
Rehearsals begin Monday, June 8th, 2026.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule creation and coordination
- Script Breakdown
- Assisting Director at rehearsals and performances
- Facilitate communication between cast and crew
- Must be available in person for rehearsals throughout Summer 2026 and tech/performances August 17-30
Compensation:
$400
