We are seeking an experienced Lead Marine Technician to join our service team and play a critical role in delivering high-quality marine repair and maintenance services. This position is ideal for a hands-on professional with deep technical expertise who enjoys problem-solving, mentoring others, and leading by example in a fast-paced environment.
As a key member of the team, you will serve as the go-to expert for diagnostics and technical troubleshooting while ensuring all work meets the highest safety and quality standards.
What you'll do:
- Lead complex diagnostics and repairs across multiple marine systems, including diesel engines, electrical, and onboard systems
- Act as the primary technical resource for technicians, answering questions and providing real-time troubleshooting support
- Mentor and train junior technicians and new hires, helping develop skills and confidence on the job
- Perform in-process inspections to ensure all work meets company, brand, and safety standards
- Collaborate closely with Quality Control to resolve issues efficiently and effectively
- Communicate job progress, risks, and changes in scope with the Service Team
- Manage workload priorities to meet deadlines and proactively address delays
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while protecting customer property
- Support job staging, documentation, and coordination with internal staff and subcontractors
- Assist in creating accurate job estimates when needed
Requirements
- 5 years of hands-on marine experience, including advanced diagnostics
- Strong background working across multiple systems (diesel engines, electrical, mechanical, etc.)
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and professionalism
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and perform in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
