The Highlands at Brighton, an affiliate of UR, specializes in transitional and long-term, comprehensive care throughout our Rehabilitation, Memory Care, Neurobehavioral, Ventilator, and Long Term Care units. We are hiring a (House) Nursing Supervisor to direct, manage, plan, and evaluate the clinical and administrative activities for the nursing department.
Hours: Part Time or Per Diem Available
Shifts Available: Evenings or Overnights
Pay Rate: $35/hr.-$50/hr.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate as an extension of the unit managers for staffing and unit operations, resident satisfaction, and risk management.
- Ensure through supervision, guidance, and direction to staff, that care is delivered in accordance to state, federal and facility regulations and policies.
- Respond to requests from nursing staff to help resolve clinical, physician related and administrative problems.
- Provide input into staff performance evaluations at the request of the Nurse Manager.
- Demonstrate a consistent ability to deal effectively with all residents, staff, families, and visitors/community members.
Job Requirements
- Associates degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
- Current NYS RN license in good standing
- Previous experience in a leadership role required
- Minimum of two (2) years recent acute medical/surgical experience preferred
- One (1) year of long term care experience preferred
- Experience with intravenous therapy, ventilator dependent residents, neurobehavioral residents, rehab-sub acute care residents, and geriatric residents preferred
