What are the responsibilities and job description for the Janitor position at The Hibbert Group?
Keep buildings in clean and orderly condition.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Sweep, mop, scrub, buff, and wax vacuum hallways, stairs and office space.
• Dust offices.
• Clean restrooms including water closets, sinks, urinals, and floors.
• Restock paper products in restrooms.
• Empty garbage containers.
• Wash windows and picture frames.
• Polish fixtures.
• Clean snow and debris from sidewalk.
• Assist with internal employee relocations.
• Attend Maintenance meetings as required.
• Ensures a strong commitment to quality and adheres to all ISO 9001related standards.
• Complies with all safety policies and reports any safety issues immediately to a manager.
• All other duties/ responsibilities as deemed appropriate by management.
• Displays behavior and judgment that consistently upholds Hibbert ACT values.
SKILLS:
• Knowledge of basic janitorial services.
• Ability to read and understand OSHA Hazard Communications.
• Good prioritization skills.
• Ability to use a vacuum, cardboard bailer, floor buffer, and other janitorial equipment.
• Ability to work independently toward general results.
• Must demonstrate working proficiency of the English language
• Can effectively communicate with, but not limited to, English speaking employees/other business contacts (contractors, customers, vendors, etc).
• Successfully comprehends business materials written in English ( job assignments, instructions, etc)
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma/GED
Moderate lifting to 75 lbs. Must be able to climb ladders and walk up and down stairs carrying equipment.
