Responsibilities
- Provide attentive supervision and care for children of various ages, including toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children.
- Plan and implement engaging activities that support childhood development, learning, and fun.
- Ensure safety by adhering to childhood development best practices, behavior management strategies, and mandated reporting laws.
- Administer basic first aid and CPR when necessary, maintaining a safe environment at all times.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to update them on their child's progress, activities, and any concerns.
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering (for infants), nap times, and hygiene practices.
- Support children with disabilities or special needs by adapting activities and providing personalized care tailored to individual requirements.
Skills
- Experience working with children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education techniques.
- Strong activity planning skills for children that promote learning through play and exploration.
- Proficiency in child supervision, behavior management, and creating a nurturing environment.
- Certified in first aid and CPR with the ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly valued.
