Reporting to the Vice President of HR Shared Services, the Sr Manager, HR Projects and Vendors will establish the methodologies and processes for HR projects and is responsible for the oversight and management of same. This role will ensure continuous development and use of project methodologies and best practices for delivery and measurement of project work. This role manages the portfolio of HR projects and the project management resources and may also directly manage projects and programs of their own. This role is also responsible for standing up and maintaining centralized HR vendor management .

Essential Functions
- Project Leadership – 50%
- Establish and expect use of project management tools, methodologies, governance, standards, and best practices
- Develop maturity in practice of project estimation, scheduling, and status reviews
- Ensure strategic alignment of projects to organizational priorities
- Manage the portfolio of projects for resource optimization and value delivery
- Oversee the management of project budgets
- Ensure projects and outcomes meet associated compliance requirements
- Monitor progress of projects; report appropriately
- Oversee the issue and risk management efforts in HR projects
- Partner with project managers and stakeholders to address
- Establish and expect stakeholder communication and applicable executive reporting
- Implement and employ methods for continuous improvement and feedback
- Demonstrate cultural and change management awareness.
- Lead cross-functionally to shape HR’s ability to perform in a changing environment
- Develop trusted adviser relationships with project and program partners, sponsors, and stakeholders
- Provide project management services, as assigned
- Vendor Management – 25 %
- After defining an appropriate timeline, establish HR vendor management program, including tools, methodologies, governance, standards, and best practices
- Define and implement vendor evaluation and selection program
- Working with ITSS, build vendor risk management program
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors
- Manage the purchasing process
- Maintain accurate and complete vendor data; work with applicable parties to manage contracts and other applicable documentation
- Partnering with vendor’s key THG contact, resolve vendor-related issues
- Define standard performance criteria and monitor/evaluate vendor performance
- Develop and manage vendor relationships for long-term success Implement and employ methods for continuous improvement and feedback
- People Management – 25 %
- Manage the HRSS project management staff
- Oversee project manager delivery of projects/programs on time, within scope, and on budget
- Set an example in and lead development of skills in stakeholder management, influence without reporting authority, conflict management, negotiation, and trust building
- Recognize, coach, and develop project management staff to reach their full potential
- Provide strategic insight and inspire team and peers with vision of the HRSS future
- Act as a point of escalation for project challenges
- Serve as an example and set expectations for confidentiality and integrity
- Exhibit behaviors in alignment with HRSS and THG's organizational cultures and values
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to continuously growing in alignment with the Company’s core values, competencies, and skills.
- Required Bachelor's Degree, MBA a plus
- Required 10 years in strategic project management
- Required 5 years of people management
- Required 5 years of budget management
- Required demonstrated experience understanding interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs
- Required complex, cross-organizational process improvement experience
- Required stakeholder and change management skills
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
