Responsibilities
- Data Architecture & Integration: Develop and maintain data pipelines for large, multi-source datasets (wearables, biomarkers, performance metrics).
- Data Quality & Cleaning: Implement routines for data validation, missingness evaluation, and outlier detection.
- Statistical Modeling: Perform advanced analyses (regression, multivariate, predictive modeling) to evaluate intervention effects and readiness outcomes.
- Human Performance Analytics: Create frameworks integrating fitness, cognitive performance, and operational metrics.
- Operational Modeling: Apply time-series and phase-based analytics across deployment cycles.
- Reporting & Visualization: Develop dashboards, APA-formatted tables, and scientific reports for leadership and stakeholders.
- Research Design Consultation: Advise on experimental design, sampling strategies, and statistical plans.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to DoD, IRB, and federal statistical standards; complete CITI training for human subject research.
- Assigned Lead: May recommend the following: employee hiring, disciplinary action, and starting salaries; provide input on employee performance evaluations.
Education and Experience
- Doctoral Degree in Biostatistics, Data Science, Sports Physiology, or related field.
- Minimum of 6-8 years experience in statistical modeling and data integration for large-scale research studies.
- Proficiency in R, Python, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Shiny).
- Experience with longitudinal data analysis, mixed-effects modeling, and predictive analytics.
- Familiarity with wearable technology data and human performance metrics.
- Experience with DoD or military research protocols.
- Knowledge of SPAFORGEN and EIP employment models.
- Strong communication skills for translating technical findings into operational language.
- Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Certifications such as NSCA-CSCS or CPSS are a plus.
- Ability to lead projects and guide all aspects of cross-disciplinary computational research projects and proposal development
- Proven expertise in applicable scientific projects
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and supervise others
- Lifting: Requires lifting materials up to 10 lbs.
- Ability to stand or sit at a computer for prolonged periods.
- This position will take place primarily in an office setting.
- The annual salary range for this position is $100,500-$160,000. Actual salary will be determined based on experience, education, etc.
