The Job: Barista/Server - Weekdays & Weekends
Anyone with previous experience and who is passionate about great coffee and love people are welcome to apply. Along with our hourly rate we tip pool.
NOTE: We are located in SW Austin
Your Availability:
- 12-20 hours a week
- Saturdays & Sundays
- Weekdays
- Holidays where needed,
Our current Open Hours are:
Monday-Friday 6AM-1PM*
Saturdays & Sundays 7AM - 1PM*
*With 30 minutes either side for opening prep and clean up.
Profile of our ideal candidate:
- Experience as a Barista, working with specialty coffee.
- Shows up with purpose and brings positive energy
- Confident dialing in the coffee equipment.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- A passion for coffee and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Understanding of health, safety, and hygiene regulations
Core roles & responsibilities
- Opening and /or closing the coffee shop, welcoming customers, taking orders, dialling in the espresso machine, making high quality specialty coffee, serving pastries and other products.
- Ensure coffee quality and consistency is maintained throughout the day.
- Manage daily stock (coffee beans, milk, pastries, disposables, etc). Monitor stock age and minimise wastage.
- Maintain a clean and organised coffee shop, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Ensure the shelves and retail items are fully stocked at the start and end of each day.
- Ensure daily compliance with all health and safety regulations and licences.
Customer Service & Experience:
- Maintain a keen knowledge of our specialty coffee and all product offerings.
- Represent The Henry Coffee to customers and partners with a clear understanding of the business.
- Deliver outstanding customer service, creating a welcoming environment for all customers.
- Ensure efficient, friendly service while maintaining high standards.
- Learn about our coffee products and be able to assist customers with their home brewing questions.
Who are we
For over 10 years we have sat on a dream and a vision of starting a coffee shop!!! Australian coffee culture is ingrained in me, I can't help it, it's what I grew up with! The quality and taste of smooth coffee without the need for flavors and sugar added to enhance/improve the taste! But more than just coffee - it's the community, the relationships and the experience coffee can bring! And so we set out and aim to bring that here to the Texas Hill Country - Coffee and community inspired by the Australian Coffee culture!

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
