JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: PACKAGING & LABELING TEAM MEMBER/PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE
COMPANY: THE HEMP COLLECT
REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor
OBJECTIVES: Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Associate will play a pivotal role in overseeing and executing packaging operations to ensure efficient production processes with a strong emphasis on speed, efficiency, and meticulous attention to detail.
PRODUCTION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute packaging and labeling tasks with precision and speed, meeting production targets and deadlines.
- Operate packaging machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and troubleshooting issues promptly.
- Conduct frequent quality checks during the packaging process to maintain the highest standards for product integrity.
- Coordinate closely across departments to ensure timely availability of packaging materials.
- Participate actively in regular production meetings to discuss process improvements and address challenges.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on packaging machinery and promptly report any malfunctions.
- Other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
- Continuously seek innovative solutions to enhance packaging procedures, focusing on efficiency and waste reduction.
- Collaborate with the Research and Development team to test and implement new packaging technologies.
- Lead or assist in special packaging projects as assigned by the Production Manager.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all packaging activities and contribute to the development of standard operating procedures.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring swift resolution of issues during the packaging process.
- Foster a culture of excellence, emphasizing the importance of quick, efficient, and detail-oriented packaging practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills & great attention to detail
- Clean hygiene and willingness to adhere to cGMP practices and standards
- Understanding of willingness to learn NC Hemp compliance expectations
- Be a self-starter, able to stay productive without oversight & analyze processes
- Knowledge of cannabis/hemp to grade product on intake QC
- Must be over 21 years old and have the ability to commute daily to NC facility.
- Must have up-to-date food handlers permit and have it with you at all times on shift.
