Urban Property Management, Inc. dba Urban, Inc. is looking for a full-time persons for our Lakewood residential property. This position requires someone who is EXPERIENCED in multifamily property maintenance, has great personal skills, is dedicated and hardworking, and enjoys building relationships with their team and with residents.
Responsibilities to include:
- Conduct regular safety inspections of the property, correct any unsafe practice or situation, include correct handling of chemicals, supplies and equipment.
- Ensure inventory is appropriately stocked and maintained.
- Ensure service requests are completed within a required time frame.
- Ensure make-readies and other maintenance projects are completed accurately and timely according to The Heights quality standards.
- Troubleshoot various items related to specific trades such as thermocouples, motors, boiler controls, fire alarms, plumbing valves, fixtures, water lines, alarms, and locks, for the purpose of assessing item functioning and recommending repair or replacement.
- Must adhere to all company safety policies and ensure that all employees work in a safe and secure environment.
- Must comply with all OSHA safety regulations, Federal, state and local applicable laws regarding health, safety or environment, including The Heights standard operating procedures and policies.
- Regularly communicate to the Community Manager any damages or known issues on the property that need immediate attention.
- Daily grounds.
- Snow removal is required.
- Advanced level of understanding and experience in the following basic trades: electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, painting, carpet care and appliance repair.
Requirements
- Position requires a minimum of 3 years’ related maintenance experience.
- Understanding and experience in the following basic trades: electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, painting, carpet care, appliance repair.
- Repair basic electrical and small machinery issues, have carpentry and painting skills.
- Expert skills regarding the operation of small hand and electrical tools. (Must have own tools).
- Current CPO certificate; EPA Universal is a plus.
- Basic computer skills (able to operate mobile device, PC).
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle (valid Driver's license REQUIRED). Must have reliable transportation to and from work each day.
- Must be available for regular on-call work assignments/ emergency calls and work scheduled off-hours and emergency overtime as required.

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
