The Government Assembly Operator assembles products in accordance with work instructions, drawings, specifications, and quality requirements. This role performs assembly operations, verifies product conformance, packages finished goods, and maintains a safe, organized work environment while meeting safety, quality, and production objectives.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret work orders, assembly instructions, drawings, specifications, and part lists.
- Assemble components and finished products in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Complete First Article Inspections as required by quality procedures.
- Properly package completed assemblies in accordance with customer or contractual requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Comply with all applicable safety procedures, work instructions, and production guidelines.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in training or cross-functional activities as assigned.
- Identify and report nonconforming products or suspect material to Quality or Production Supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervision within the scope of training and capability.
- Has the authority to stop their portion of work if a safety, quality or compliance issue is identified.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
- 0 to 1 year of relevant experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment preferred.
