Highlights: Summary: The Security Officer I shall protect Baptist Health patients, employees, and properties by patrolling the hospital grounds, responding to emergencies, assisting patients, employees and visitors, controlling vehicular and foot traffic, and operating security CCTV. This job may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role. Education/Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 2 consecutive years employment in the security field. Licensure/Certification: None Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software. Strong team leadership skills, strong organization, interpersonal, and customer relations skills. Must be able to meet strict deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, and excellent organizational skills. Must be able to complete multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to develop trust with leaders in the organizations. Ability to remain calm in difficult situations. Strong written and oral communication skills, proficient computer skills, proven track record of successful performance. Ability to understand complex multifactor situations and bring appropriate solutions. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state and local laws and ordinances, as well as industrial security procedures. Must be responsible for the 24-hour operation of the facility.
