Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security risks or safety hazards.
- Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to oversee activity within and around the facility.
- Manage access control systems by verifying identities and authorizations for employees, visitors, and contractors.
- Respond swiftly and effectively to incidents, including emergencies or security breaches, following established protocols.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any unusual activities or security events for future reference.
- Perform background checks on new personnel or visitors as needed to ensure compliance with security policies.
- Assist with emergency response procedures, including fire safety, first aid, AED operation, and conflict de-escalation techniques.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security roles or related fields such as military or law enforcement is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of surveillance systems, CCTV operation, access control systems, and manual handling techniques.
- Certification in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, and Taser use is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical security duties including heavy lifting and maintaining alertness during long shifts.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to write clear incident reports and manage conflict effectively.
- Familiarity with emergency response procedures and compliance with security regulations is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to perform background checks accurately and uphold loss prevention standards.
