What are the responsibilities and job description for the Crisis & Support Services Coordinator position at The Haven Shelter & Services, Inc.?
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Direct Services: Provide trauma-informed, culturally relevant services to survivors of intimate partner violence, sexual violence, and/or stalking, including:
- Collaborate with the Support Coordinator to assist program participants in achieving self-identified goals.
- Providing support services to program participants.
- Support program participants in adhering to shelter guidelines in a trauma-informed and respectful manner.
- Providing or arranging transportation for program participants when needed and safe to do so.
- Complete participant intake processes, including brief assessments and shelter orientation.
2. Hotline Support:
- Respond to the 24-hour confidential crisis hotline, providing trauma-informed crisis intervention, emotional support, information, and referrals.
- Ensure the hotline is promptly answered during assigned shifts.
3. Shelter Operations:
- Assist with the daily maintenance and upkeep of the shelter facility.
- Support the organization and management of in-kind donations.
- Respond promptly to health and safety concerns observed or raised by program participants.
4. Administration and Team Participation:
- Attend and contribute to staff meetings.
- Complete a minimum of 20 hours of in-service or job-related training annually.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or on-call staff.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date participant records in VADATA while ensuring confidentiality.
- Document all services and interactions accurately and in a timely manner.
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
