The Haven has a job opening for an On Call Sexual Assault Advocate (Limited Service Worker). The work schedule for this position is Midnight-8am. The Sexual Assault Advocate will respond to the Sexual Assault Crisis hotline calls and provide services for victims of Sexual Assault.
Successful applicants must possess strong verbal and written Communication skills, be able to handle stress, remain calm in time of crisis, interact well with people of other ethnic groups and cultures, work with minimal supervision, be a team player, maintain confidentiality and participate in community awareness events.
The facility and toll-free crisis line are staffed 24/7.
An Associates degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work or related field is required or 60 completed college credit hours, with one-year previous experience in Domestic Violence shelter work, Advocacy, Rape crisis intervention or Case management is preferred. Must clear all background checks, drug screen, education verification, and valid driver's license with a good driving record. No internal applicants at this time.
