Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. We are hiring for 7-3 / 3-11 shifts, 4 days a week, including weekends. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, with experience in various medical settings including behavioral health, internal medicine, and memory care. As an LPN, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality nursing care to patients, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring their comfort and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians.
- Assist in the assessment of patient health status and contribute to the development of care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Support patients in memory care settings, ensuring their safety and emotional well-being.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with ICD-9 coding standards.
- Educate patients on health management and disease prevention strategies.
Qualifications
- Valid LPN license in New Jersey.
- Experience in behavioral health, internal medicine, or memory care preferred.
- Familiarity with ICD-9 coding for accurate documentation is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
