What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server position at The Harp Irish Pub?
We are seeking an experienced server to join our team for the coming spring and summer season. The ideal candidate will have previous experience waiting tables.
Before you read on please know we operate with a smaller staff. We have set schedules that do not change. If you cannot commit to a set schedule or need frequent time off due to other obligations this probably not a good fit.
Job responsibilities
- Greet and seat customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently using POS system
- Deliver orders to tables promptly and ensure accuracy of items
- Provide recommendations on menu items and upsell specials
- Monitor and attend to customers' needs throughout their dining experience
- Bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
Qualifications
- Previous experience of some sort in the food service industry is a must
- Sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items
- Time management and multitasking abilities
- Hospitality-driven attitude with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Basic knowledge of culinary terms and food industry practices
We are a small pub with an eclectic menu. We are closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Shifts start between 3:30-5 pm daily.
This is a tipped position.
