What are the responsibilities and job description for the Store Manager position at The Handmaiden House?
We are a Christian based nonprofit 501c3 charity dedicated to providing women, with or without children a place to call home. We provide support and resources to bring them from crisis to self-sufficiency.
The Thrift Store is set up to support our Maternity Support Home. We are seeking a part-time Thrift Store Manager to join our family. Working days are Wednesday – Saturday with some scheduled Saturdays off.
This is an extension of our Ministry work and requires a person committed to stewarding the store well without direct supervision.
Qualifications:
· We are a Christ Centered Mission. It is essential that she reflects a high level of integrity and moral behavior, demonstrate emotional maturity and stability necessary to deal with women in crisis. The ability to keep confidentiality is a must.
· Must be a Woman (this is a Women’s only Mission) 18 years of age, with a High School Diploma or GED.
· Have a valid Driver’s license and own transportation, ability to pass drug screen and background check.
· Possess the ability to lead others effectively in an encouraging, cooperative manner.
· Organized, detail oriented, works well independently, retail experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for full operations of the Handmaiden House Thrift Store.
Maintains a high level of customer service.
Follows HH Policies and Procedures to ensure the Store is safe, clean, well maintained, clear of clutter.
Will serve with a positive, friendly attitude, engaging customers.
Cash Handling.
Working Environment:
Frequent walking, standing for long periods of time, bending, stooping and kneeling.
Unloading donations which may also require the ability to lift, push and/or pull furniture or heavy boxes up to but not limited to 50lbs.
Climbing stairs with clothes bags daily.
Payrate:
The hourly pay rate is $12.50 with a bonus structure based on sales.
