Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of braiding techniques including classic, French, Dutch, fishtail, and intricate custom styles tailored to each client’s preferences.
• Apply hair extensions seamlessly to enhance volume and length while maintaining natural appearance.
• Use salon software such as SQUIRE to schedule appointments, update client records, and manage daily operations efficiently.
• Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by properly cleaning tools, styling stations, and ensuring a hygienic environment in compliance with health regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service by listening carefully to clients’ needs, offering professional advice on hair care and styling options, and upselling retail products like hair extensions and styling accessories.
• Stay current on the latest hair styling trends, color theory principles, and techniques such as hair threading or eyelash extensions to expand your service offerings.
• Assist with front desk duties when needed by greeting clients, managing appointment flow, and supporting store management in daily tasks.
• Mentor junior team members by sharing expertise in hair styling, color application, or retail sales strategies to foster team growth.

Qualifications

• Valid cosmetology or barbering license with proven experience in professional hair styling and braiding techniques.
• Strong knowledge of hair extensions application methods and color theory fundamentals.
• Familiarity with salon software systems such as MINDBODY for appointment scheduling and client management.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively connect with clients and team members alike.
• Demonstrated ability to perform sanitation procedures meticulously to ensure client safety and hygiene standards are met.
• Experience with retail sales including upselling products like nail care items, makeup applications, or eyelash extensions is preferred.

Pay: $24.00 - $28.91 per hour
