WHAT THE ROLE LOOKS LIKE

Typical work hours are Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. The Store Operations Manager provides invaluable support in all aspects of the business, so additional hours may be required to ensure we meet seasonal needs, maintain inventory, complete special projects, deliver excellent customer service, and swiftly respond to facility issues or operational roadblocks.

This management role oversees the day-to-day operations that keep our business running smoothly, and implements the big picture strategies that keep us growing within the HVAC space. You'll take charge of the branch's results, leading your team in providing excellent customer service and actively seeking out new sales opportunities within your territory. By coordinating with staff, vendors, customers, and leadership, you'll meet business targets and strengthen relationships with both new and existing partners. You'll review our investments, identify areas for growth, and take active steps towards increasing profitability.

Your focus will include growing sales, managing inventory, optimizing warehouse operations, coordinating our fleet, and maintaining regulatory compliance. You'll monitor these performance metrics and make adjustments as needed to improve operations and meet targets. Using programs like NetSuite ERP and its integrated warehouse management system (WMS), you'll track inventory levels, measure warehouse productivity, and ensure efficient order fulfillment processes. You'll also assist the store employees with tasks like answering phones and serving customers at the counter. You'll serve as a positive example for your team, encouraging all staff to do their best and keep growing within their roles!

STORE OPERATIONS MANAGER REQUIREMENTS

• Demonstrated ability to drive sales growth and meet business targets
• Experience managing inventory and operational activities
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building abilities
• Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities
• Proficiency with technology, including computers, ERP systems, business software, and WMS
• Commitment to acting safely, helping others grow, and building a high-performing team
• Ability to hold others accountable while maintaining a positive, supportive environment
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• High school degree or GED equivalent

Preferred Criteria

• Leadership or management experience
• Experience in the HVAC industry or in a wholesale distribution environment
• Forklift experience
• NetSuite ERP and/or integrated WMS proficiency
• Associate or bachelor's degree
