Asssistant Night Warehouse Supervisor

We are now accepting applications for Warehouse Supervisor at our Lake City facility.

PURPOSE: Provides leadership and oversight of all “day to day” operations including receiving, shipping, service standards, delivery, for HT Hackney Warehouse.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Coordinates the day-to-day activities of the organization's warehousing and distribution operations.
• Supervise employees

• Directs implementation and execution of warehousing, logistics and distribution policies and practices throughout the organization.
• Develops performance measurement indicators for each work area.
• Appraises and evaluates the performance of each work area and the results of overall operations regularly to assess costs and capabilities.
• Ensures the layout of equipment, racking, shelving, office, and storage facilities maximizes spatial utilization and productive workflow.
• Recommends equipment improvements or replacement to achieve goals.
• Provides leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships.
• Partners with other leaders/departments to establish and implement strategic plans to maintain and improve the competitive position and profitability of the organization.
• Participates in all warehouse activities.
• Coordinate with departments to receive inventory efficiently.
• All other duties and projects as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or GED and equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well with people are essential.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment relative to all aspects of assigned duties.
• Proficient in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Ability to work within an environment of teamwork.
• Familiarity with AS400 system or other ERP system preferred.
• Demonstrated capabilities in managing multiple priorities, projects and tasks
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
• Organized and able to multi-task competing priorities to achieve productivity and business goals.
• Experience in wholesale grocery or food service distribution is preferred.
• Excellent communications interpersonal, and presentation skills,
• Ability to implement operational strategies to produce positive change.
• Excellent organizational skills, including demonstrated ability to establish and achieve business goals.
• Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate others to achieve results through cross functional relationships.

PHYSICAL, SENSORY AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS NECESSARY TO PERFORM THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: With or without reasonable accommodations

• Must be able to lift up to _50 lbs occasionally.
• During an 8-hour day, frequent sitting and working at a computer, frequent walking, bending and standing are required.
• Hand Use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
• Requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.
• Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.
• Exposure to temperatures: <32 degrees Fahrenheit (freezing), 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators),

>90 degrees Fahrenheit.
