Summary:
The Guild is looking for a driven, hospitality-minded events professional to join our management team as Private Events Manager. This role is primarily focused on building, selling, and executing our private events program from the ground up. As the events calendar grows, you'll also contribute to FOH operations with scheduled floor shifts in a management capacity, supporting the broader team and staying connected to the guest experience.
Responsibilities:
Private Events Manager
- Respond to all private event inquiries promptly and professionally
- Qualify, propose, and close bookings for private dining, buyouts, and hosted events
- Coordinate all event details: menus, timelines, staffing, and room setup
- Execute events personally, with the ability to train and delegate to a qualified event lead as the program scales
- Maintain event contracts, deposits, and documentation
- Build and grow relationships with repeat clients and corporate accounts
- Develop and refine systems, templates, and processes to support a growing events program
FOH Management
- Serve as a manager on duty during scheduled floor shifts, with a focus on guest experience and service standards
- Support the GM in daily operational decisions and team communication
- Hold pre-shift meetings, enforce service standards, and coach team members as needed
Team Leadership
- Assist in hiring, onboarding, and training FOH staff as it relates to event execution
- Foster a positive, accountable team culture aligned with The Guild's values
Requirements:
- 2 years of private event management experience, preferably in a full-service or upscale casual environment
- Demonstrated track record of coordinating and executing private events end-to-end
- Strong sales and interpersonal skills; comfortable following up, closing, and building long-term client relationships
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
- Comfortable working in a restaurant environment and taking on floor shifts as needed
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends for events
- Food Handler's Manager Certification and BASSET certification (or willingness to obtain)
Compensation:
- $50,000 annual base salary
- 3% Commission on All Private Event Sales
- Additional commission-based compensation opportunties available
Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
