The Guidance Center (TGC) is currently seeking an Early Childhood Group Leader Assistant - PT to be the newest member of our innovative interdisciplinary team. This position provides services to SED youth who are participating in the Center’s Early Childhood Program.

- Competitive hourly rate of $20.28 to $22.76; depending upon qualifications.
Primary Duties:
1. Assist with promoting successful group interactions among consumers
2. Encourage and support clients’ engagement in ECPP activities
3. Encourage and support clients’ efforts to effectively problem-solve and interact with others
4. Work respectfully and supportively with clients’ parents/caregivers, while observing appropriate boundaries
5. Transport clients to and from activities or appointments when necessary or assigned and serve as Attendant on van transportation routes as assigned
6. Facilitate/co-facilitate groups as assigned
7. Understand direct service requirements and efficiency goals established by TGC for the position, and achieve same
8. Provide documentation (clinical notes, reports, and other professional products) which complies with TGC’s Quality Improvement standards and the requirements of all funding sources.
9. Be able to organize work in order to meet direct service expectations and Center requirements
10. Adapt to changing work priorities and a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
High school graduate or GED required. Must have completed one year of college course work in the field of human services, or have one year of experience in the field of human services, or one year combination of education and work experience in the field of human services
EXPERIENCE:
Required: at least 6 months experience working with individuals in the community. Experience gained through practicum experience or volunteer work can be included.
Preferred: experience working with individuals with mental health issues.
