We're looking for a motivated, hands-on Assistant General Manager to help lead our restaurant inside Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD). Schedule

This is a full-time management position requiring flexibility to work either shift based on business needs.

Available Shifts:

• Morning Shift: 3:30 AM – 1:30 PM
• Evening Shift: 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM

Weekend and holiday availability is required. Due to the early morning opening schedule, reliable transportation is essential.

What You'll Do

• Lead daily restaurant operations while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient store.
• Coach, train, and develop team members to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Foster a positive, energetic, and accountable team culture.
• Ensure food safety, sanitation, and brand standards are consistently followed.
• Manage food production from prep through service, ensuring speed, quality, and accuracy.
• Oversee food preparation, including meat slicing, vegetable preparation, and product quality.
• Forecast, order, and manage food and produce inventory to minimize waste and control costs.
• Monitor food and labor costs to maximize profitability.
• Create employee schedules that support business needs and labor goals.
• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and train new team members.
• Drive sales through exceptional operations and guest satisfaction.
• Handle cash management, payroll, deposits, and complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.
• Maintain a strong sense of urgency—because at Jimmy John's, one sammy is a rush!
• Execute all company policies, procedures, and operating systems with integrity.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant management or leadership experience required.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
• Experience with scheduling, payroll, inventory, food cost, and labor management.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong organizational, math, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Airport Security Requirements

• Must successfully pass an in-person FBI fingerprint background check.
• Must provide two original, valid, unexpired, and undamaged forms of identification required for airport badging.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance to work inside Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD).
