The Grove Hotel is looking for seasonal front desk agents for our 63 room property located in Cherry Grove, NY. We are looking for team-players with great attention to detail and the ability to work in an inclusive environment. A $500 retention bonus will be paid for finishing the season.
Hotel Front Desk Job Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner.
- Ascertains their lodging, purchasing needs.
- Assists guests and owners in a branded, friendly, proactive, and efficient manner with appropriate follow-up as necessary.
- Knows all essential aspects of our hotel operations.
- Registers guests and manages the rooming chart.
- Collects payments by charge payments from customers.
- Balances cash drawer by counting cash at beginning and end of work shift.
- Monitors lobby and check-in activity to determine room flow.
- Responds to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
- Facilitates correspondence with guests.
- Works collaboratively with any resort associates and resources.
Workers will be offered reimbursement on the Sayville Ferry.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- High school diploma
- Prior resort or hotel experience preferred, but will train the right candidate
- Familiarity with telephone, office, and point-of-sale software a plus
