Role Description The Landscaper role at The Grounds Guys in Biloxi, MS is a full-time, on-site position focused on the maintenance and enhancement of outdoor spaces for residential and commercial properties. Day-to-day tasks include mowing, trimming, edging, weeding, planting, mulching, and general lawn and garden care to ensure clean, safe, and attractive grounds. The landscaper assists with basic irrigation checks, seasonal cleanups, and installation of plants or softscape features according to design plans and company standards. The role also involves operating and maintaining landscaping equipment, following safety procedures, and working collaboratively with team members to complete scheduled jobs efficiently. Consistent attendance, professional interaction with customers, and adherence to company policies and quality guidelines are essential.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform Landscape Maintenance and general Landscaping tasks, including routine lawn care and property upkeep.
- Knowledge of basic Gardening practices, such as planting, pruning, and maintaining flowers, shrubs, and trees.
- Familiarity with Irrigation systems, including monitoring, basic troubleshooting, and assisting with repairs under guidance.
- Exposure to or interest in Landscape Design concepts to support the installation of design plans and outdoor enhancements.
- Capability to perform physical work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including lifting, bending, and prolonged standing.
- Experience using common landscaping tools and equipment safely; willingness to follow safety and environmental guidelines.
- Reliable work habits, attention to detail, and ability to follow instructions and complete tasks on schedule.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills; professional, courteous conduct with clients and colleagues.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred; prior landscaping or groundskeeping experience is an advantage.
