Press Brake Operator

Overview

The Grieve Corporation is a leading manufacturer of industrial ovens and furnaces. We are seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to join our dynamic team in Round Lake, IL. As a Press Brake Operator, you will play a crucial role in our production process, ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and shape metal components according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the correct specifications for each job.
• Perform various operations on laser punch press, brake press, notcher, sheer, band saw or angle sheer as instructed.
• Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet design requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and resolve any issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
• Conduct routine maintenance on press brake machines to ensure optimal performance.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably 2-3 years as a Press Brake Operator.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Must be able to read and write in English.
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs.
• Must have dexterity to bend and twist to process parts as large as 36"x48"
• Must have hand dexterity to grip sheet metals safely while forming it
• Must be able to stand up to four hours at a time
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machine issues.
