About the Role:
As a Press Brake Operator, you will play a vital role in our production process by shaping, bending, and cutting sheet metal and metal plates using a press brake machine. This role is essential to manufacturing the tools, components, and equipment that make our products stand out. Your technical skills and keen eye for detail will ensure the highest quality output in line with our production standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Press Brake Operation: Operate a press brake machine to bend, shape, cut, and manipulate sheet metal and metal plates according to product specifications.
- Setup & Programming: Prepare, program, set up, and adjust the press brake based on product plans and production schedules to ensure precise and efficient operation.
- Quality Control: Measure and align materials accurately and inspect finished products, ensuring compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Maintenance & Safety: Perform routine maintenance on the press brake and maintain a clean, organized workspace to ensure safety and optimal machine performance.
- Collaboration & Flexibility: Work closely with team members and supervisors, taking on additional tasks as needed to meet production goals and support the overall success of the Fabrication department.
What We’re Looking For:
We are searching for a candidate who is proactive, safety-conscious, and willing to learn and grow within the role. Key expectations include:
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to safely and effectively operate or quickly learn to operate press brake controls and functions.
- Blueprint Reading: Competency in reading, interpreting, and following product blueprints and detailed instructions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and quality, with the ability to measure and inspect materials using calipers, verniers, and other measuring devices.
- Basic Computer & Math Skills: Familiarity with basic computer functions and a strong foundation in math to ensure precise measurements and programming.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least one year of experience in metal fabrication or related work preferred.
- Proficiency in operating calipers, verniers, and various other measuring devices.
