We’re seeking highly skilled 2nd and 3rd shift Maintenance Technicians with strong mechanical, electrical, PLC, and robotic automation expertise to join our Manufacturing Client in Mebane, North Carolina. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the uptime, efficiency, and performance of our advanced manufacturing and robotic systems.You’ll be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex machine processes that integrate robotics, PLCs, sensors, and mechanical systems in a fast-paced, high-precision production environment.Pay: $29–$37/hour (depending on experience)Relocation Assistance:-$7,000 if you are currently renting-$10,000 if you own your homeTemporary Housing Provided:-Up to 60 days of fully furnished housing (includes pots, pans, internet, TV, etc.)-Pet fees may apply depending on pet and housing arrangementsResponsibilitiesOperate, program, and navigate industrial robots using a teach pendant.Teach and record robot points for new or existing production programs.Troubleshoot and repair robotic failures, including controller, servo, and software issues.Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems within automated manufacturing machinery.Connect to, program, and troubleshoot PLC systems (Allen-Bradley preferred) to resolve production interruptions and optimize performance.Interpret ladder logic, I/O configurations, and network communications (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, DeviceNet, etc.) to support advanced process troubleshooting.Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and control schematics.Wire and repair electrical panels, connections, and components while following NFPA and plant safety standards.Install, maintain, and troubleshoot sensors, relays, safety circuits, and vision systems.Apply advanced mechanical skills in machine alignment, precision component replacement, and preventive maintenance.Fabricate hydraulic and pneumatic lines, including crimping fittings and running air lines.Perform general machine maintenance, repair, and calibration to ensure optimal manufacturing performance.Fabricate tooling, brackets, and components as needed using manual machining tools (mill, lathe, drill press, etc.).Perform welding and basic fabrication tasks (certification preferred).Apply maintenance fundamentals such as 5S, lubrication, leak prevention, and continuous improvement.QualificationsMust pass a background check and drug test.Must show proof of Highschool graduation.Proven experience in industrial maintenance, automation, or advanced manufacturing environments.Strong hands-on PLC proficiency (Allen-Bradley preferred), including fault diagnosis, code interpretation, and system optimization.Demonstrated problem-solving ability to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions in complex systems.Advanced mechanical aptitude with experience in rotating equipment, alignment, and precision assembly.Strong electrical troubleshooting experience, including motor controls, sensors, and control circuits.Familiarity with robotic programming, integration, and process troubleshooting (preferably 6-axis robotics).CNC experience is a plus.Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment.Company DescriptionThe Greer Group, Inc., based in Raleigh, North Carolina, is a woman-owned staffing and recruiting company.
