Office Engineer I - CTA Curbside Improvement Program (LAX)

We are looking for an Office Engineer I to support the Central Terminal Area (CTA) Curbside Improvement Program at LAX. This project focuses on improving the Arrivals curbside areas across the entire CTA—from terminal entry doors out to the outer-island pickup zones. The work includes enhancements to curbside areas, garage facades, and landscape zones, all aimed at improving the look, feel, and overall passenger experience at LAX.

*Salary Range: $95K/Year-$105K/Year - Dependent on Candidate's Qualifications

• Help manage incoming submittals and RFIs, including logging, distributing, tracking, and maintaining records in PMWeb.
• Assist with contract correspondence and general document control.
• Keep project files and drawing sets updated (both electronic and hard copy).
• Coordinate with contractors to ensure drawings and documents are posted and shared on time.
• Track review comments, gather approvals, and issue responses back to contractors.
• Prepare exhibits, PDFs, and presentation materials as needed for meetings.
• Attend project meetings, write agendas and minutes, and help maintain expediting logs.
• Provide day-to-day support to the project manager, assistant PM, construction manager, design manager, and others on the team.

• 5 years of experience, preferably on airport or other large, complex projects.
• Experience working on projects valued at $50M or more.
• Background in construction, engineering, or project delivery within an active/operating environment.
• Understanding of both design and construction phases—from early design and permitting through phasing, implementation, and closeout.
• Familiarity with common delivery methods (DBB, CMAR, Design/Build).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain positive working relationships with contractors, designers, and stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam.
• PMWeb experience is preferred but not required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Certifications such as LEED, PMP, AAAE, PE, AICP, etc. are welcome but optional.
