Shifts vary between 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM and/or 3:00 PM – 8:30 PM, with weekend and holiday rotations as needed. Additional shifts may be available.

Position Summary:
The Receptionist is often the first friendly face and voice for residents, families, visitors, and vendors here at GreenFields. This role focuses on creating a welcoming, supportive, and respectful environment by greeting guests with kindness, offering assistance and guidance, and responding to questions with care and professionalism. While managing front desk and administrative tasks, the receptionist helps foster a sense of comfort and trust, supports clear communication throughout the facility, and contributes to a safe and positive experience for everyone who enters.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the paging and telephone systems in a professional and courteous manner.
- Greet visitors and provide directions and information to residents, family members, guests, vendors, sales representatives, and private duty aides.
- Monitor and track all visitors entering and exiting the facility, ensuring proper sign-in and sign-out procedures are followed.
- Oversee use of the copy machine, ensure adequate supplies are stocked, and contact maintenance as needed for repairs or service.
- Operate computer systems and office equipment as required to support daily operations.
- Perform clerical and administrative duties as assigned, in accordance with the Receptionist Policy and Procedure Manual.
- Foster and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, professionalism, and positive engagement throughout the facility.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area; promptly report safety concerns or hazards.
- Adhere at all times to the facility’s dress code policy.
- Comply with all time and attendance policies.
Key Requirements Other:
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with staff, residents, family members visitors, government agencies/staff, and the general public.
- Must have patience, tact a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle challenging residents/associates.
- Must be able to communicate with the staff, and other department supervisors.
- Maintains a rapport with the residents and their families.
- Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.
- Must attend and participate in continuing educational programs.
Qualifications:
- Must have excellent typing skills
- Must possess excellent communication and clerical skills.
- Possess the ability to deal tactfully with various personalities and exhibit maturity and professionalism.
Physical and Sensory Requirements:
Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday. Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position. Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility.
