What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper position at The Greene Group?
Our client is a growing title insurance and 1031 exchange firm with brand new offices in Woodcliff Lake, NJ. They are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper who knows their way around escrow accounting and real estate financial transactions in a high-volume, multi-state environment.
What You Will Ow
- Maintain and reconcile escrow and trust accounts, including strict three-way monthly reconciliation
- Record and track 1031 exchange transactions including forward, reverse, and improvement exchange
- Full-cycle accounts payable and receivable, including premium remittances to underwriter
- Monthly bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliation
- Support month-end and year-end close, audits, and premium tax filings across multiple states
- Prepare 1099s and maintain records in compliance with state title insurance regulations
What We Are Looking For
- 3 years of bookkeeping experience in title insurance, real estate settlement, or closing services
- Hands-on experience with HUD-1 and ALTA/TRID settlement statements
- Solid understanding of escrow accounting and three-way trust account reconciliation
- Familiarity with IRS Section 1031 exchange rules and Qualified Intermediary operatio
- QuickBooks proficiency and strong Excel skills
- TrackerPro or similar title software experience a plus
Salary : $80,000 - $120,000
