Position:
Cosmetologist
Department: Spa
Primary Responsibilities: (guest
interaction, ordering responsibilities, clean up duties, clerical
responsibilities, etc.)
•Perform manicures, pedicures and facials
•Perform
body and face waxing
•Product knowledge; ingredients, contraindications,
skin type etc
Secondary
Responsibilities:
•Light maintenance, cleaning of immediate work
space and assist with putting away linen and supplies
•Sanitation of work
stations and equipment in accordance with WV cosmetology sanitation
standards
Normal Working Hours: (Shift,
days)
•32-40 hours per week in season
•Staffing by seniority, requires
availability on holidays and 7 day a week operation
•2 scheduled days off for
full-time, days vary for part time
Past Work Experience Requirements:
(Type of work, number of years required, equivalent experience,
etc.)
•Advantage to have experience in cosmetology, esthetics, pedicures,
facial and retail
Educational Requirements:
(Degree/Certification, highest required/preferred, field of study)
•High
School Diploma or G.E.D.
Communication Skills Requirements:
(Verbal: phone, in-person, group; Written: memos, documents)
•Must be able to
express information clearly and communicate in a personable and professional
manner
Technical Requirements:
•Must be a West
Virginia licensed Cosmetologist
Required Supervision:
(Reports to, Supervision provided, number of people to supervise)
•Reports to
Spa Director and Assistant Spa Director
•Must be self motivated and able to
assume responsibility and behave professionally with guests and
coworkers
Other Requirements:
•Strong
retail skills an advantage
•Willingness to work as a team
•Must be
knowledgeable of products and their benefits
