Our Client
Our client is a growing solar module manufacturer expanding its U.S. production operations. They are looking for a Sr Quality Manager to lead plant quality, strengthen the QMS and ensure consistent product performance as manufacturing scales.
Responsibility
- Lead overall quality management across incoming materials, production processes and finished solar modules.
- Own and continuously improve the site Quality Management System, including procedures, audits, documentation and compliance.
- Establish quality standards, inspection plans and KPIs covering defects, yield, FPY, scrap and customer quality performance.
- Lead non-conformance management, root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for manufacturing and product quality issues.
- Work closely with Production, Process Engineering and Equipment teams to resolve recurring quality issues and improve manufacturing consistency.
- Manage customer complaints, quality investigations and technical responses, ensuring timely closure and effective corrective actions.
- Support supplier quality management, incoming material qualification and supplier corrective actions.
- Lead and develop the plant quality team, including engineers, supervisors and inspectors.
- Support internal, customer and third-party audits and maintain compliance with applicable solar manufacturing and quality standards.
Qualification
- 7 years of manufacturing quality experience, ideally within solar, semiconductor, battery, electronics or other high-volume advanced manufacturing.
- Previous experience leading a plant or production quality function and managing a quality team.
- Strong knowledge of QMS, ISO 9001, CAPA, RCA, 8D, SPC and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proven experience managing incoming, in-process and finished-product quality.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, process controls and data-driven quality improvement.
- Experience handling customer quality issues, audits and supplier quality management.
- Solar module manufacturing experience and familiarity with relevant IEC/UL product standards would be highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or a related technical discipline.
Salary : $110,000 - $150,000
