Our client is a growing advanced manufacturing business looking for an experienced Training & Development Manager/HRBP to build a structured training framework for its expanding operations. This role will help turning existing operational and technical knowledge into a scalable, localized training system. You will work closely with site leadership, functional managers and subject-matter experts to capture knowledge, structure training content and establish consistent capability standards across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Build and implement the site-wide training and capability development framework.
- Work with technical and operational teams to translate existing know-how into structured, practical training programs.
- Develop training matrices, competency frameworks, onboarding programs and role-based learning pathways.
- Support the localization and adaptation of existing technical training materials for the site.
- Establish train-the-trainer programs and help managers and subject-matter experts become effective internal trainers.
- Identify capability gaps across production, engineering and operational teams and develop appropriate training solutions.
- Create clear training standards, documentation, assessment methods and effectiveness measures.
- Track training completion, competency development and overall program effectiveness.
- Partner closely with HR and site leadership to ensure training supports workforce growth, productivity and operational consistency.
Requirements
- Strong experience in Learning & Development, Training Management, Organizational Development or manufacturing capability building.
- Proven experience building training systems or frameworks rather than simply delivering existing courses.
- Experience working within manufacturing, industrial, engineering or other operational environments is preferred.
- Strong ability to convert technical or operational knowledge into clear, structured training content.
- Experience with competency matrices, training needs analysis, onboarding programs and train-the-trainer initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence working directly with operational leadership and technical experts.
- Comfortable working in a fast-growing environment where training infrastructure is still being developed.
- Able to be on site at least 3 days per week.
Salary : $110,000 - $140,000
