SUMMARY OF POSITION FUNCTION:
Responsible for the overall management and operation of the Student Behavior Management.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages and directs the operation of the Student Behavior Management System.
- Provides supervision, training, assessment, and leadership for Student Human Resources staff.
- Ensures the Center student behavior management system complies with Job Corps policies and procedures.
- Provides orientation to new students and staff.
- Acts as a liaison between the Center and judicial agencies/courts; solicits legal representation for students; coordinates bail bond processes.
- Initiates behavior-related serious incident reports and seeks prior approval of the Center Director and Corporate Headquarters prior to submission to Regional and National Offices.
- Oversees the operation of the Behavior Review panels.
- Promotes and oversees the student incentive program.
- Administers penalties for disciplinary infractions in accordance with the Student Handbook.
- Oversees the management and maintenance of student behavior management records.
- Prepares and controls the departmental budget.
- Plans, organizes and controls the use of overtime and on-call staff to insure compliance with Center and ETR policy and procedures.
- Responsible for implementing and monitoring of the student leadership program.
- Acts as Center Director in the absence of the same.
- Acts as trusted advisor to the Center Director and is a member of the senior leadership team.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science or related field. A combination of education and experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
EXPERIENCE:
- Three years in youth counseling, law enforcement or related field; one of which was in a supervisory capacity.
OTHER:
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
